While assisting the Campbellsville University marching band complete it’s ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, four firefighters received electrical shocks. The incident occurred when firefighters accidentally touched power lines with the aerial bucket of their truck. Power went out over a large area as a result and at least one firefighter was seriously injured. Two others are being treated at a local hospital. About four thousand, five hundred customers lost power as a result of the accident, though power was quickly restored. The members of the Campbellsville University marching band and university staff extend heartfelt sympathy and well wishes to those who were injured in Thursday’s accident.
