Cedric Donnell Johnson, a driver whom a sheriff’s deputy attempted to pull over for erratic driving, has been released from Medical University Hospital after being struck by a vehicle. The thirty-year-old man attempted to first flee from officers in his vehicle, before losing control of the car and coming to rest in a grassy patch. He then attempted to flee on foot across interstate 26. This ended poorly as he was struck by a passing motorist. After being transported by EMS to Medical University Hospital, it was determined his injuries were non-life threatening. He has been charged with speeding, driving with an open container and having no driver’s license with a charge of failing to stop for blue lights pending.
