Unexplained Boating Accident Leaves Two Injured

A boating accident that occurred Friday has left two people injured. The Coast Guard responded to reports of the accident on Shem Creek. Apparently two twenty foot boats somehow collided, and the resulting collision inflicted head injuries on two people. Coast Guard officials have reported that the Department of Natural Resources has begun an investigation into the incident. The two injured individuals were transported to Medical University of South Carolina by local EMS crews who were standing by at Magwood Dock.
